Care to Continue® is different from most home care providers because we go the extra mile to attract, screen, and retain the very best caregivers. We call this the Caregiver Secure™.
It is incredibly difficult to become a Care to Continue® caregiver. We have a rigorous hiring process that includes a 50 state background check, a pre-employment drug screen, multiple verifiable references, the intensive Care to Continue® training program, CPR certification, first aid certification, and requirements for licensure verification. Finally, all Care to Continue® caregivers are bonded and insured.
Partnering with the Red Cross
Our Executive Director, Tyler Jefcoat, is a certified Red Cross Family Caregiver Trainer, and he often holds workshops designed to teach family members in the Athens area how to be better caregivers in their own homes. We also require all Care to Continue® caregivers to go through this comprehensive training.
Our approach to caregivers has three key elements
Focus on long-term relationships.
We take care of our caregivers so they can take better care of you. We have a “family-first” culture where family includes yours and ours.
Thorough screening of caregivers.
We go through a rigorous screening process with our caregivers an everyone.
Focus on safety and security.
We understand that nothing is more important than trusting the person with whom you entrust the care of your loved one. Our “Caregiver Secure” program ensures that you can rest easy knowing that our family is taking care of yours.
